So we liked the possibilities that working with the Clancy's posed.
The Club E crew checked out one of the Clancy properties but decided immediately that the second property viewed is the perfect spot. The new spot is located on the NW corner of W 3rd Avenue and Osborn, just off Central. Sure that this was where we should be, we quickly moved from our temporary administrative office, courtesy of Dolf De Roos. Through the tireless work of some friends of Club E and led by the General Managers of CEO, Sonia and Jim Graham...we are now open for business.
Featuring several thousand feet of open area that houses workstations, meeting tables and large conference desks, the main space boasts a panoramic view of downtown Phoenix. There's enough room to host well over 200 attendees and we're busy booking the space for events of all kinds. About thirty different start-up or expansion businesses can be housed in this space.
There are three suites of offices, one featuring four private offices, a conference room and a lobby and the second featuring six private offices, including a kitchen and lobby. The third suite, features eight offices, a lobby and a very large conference room. Each office will be furnished with a desk and file cabinet and there are plenty of chairs.
In total, between forty and fifty Club E member businesses can be situated at our new CEO and once filled...the amount of energy and activity that will be emanating from this epicenter of entrepreneurship in downtown Phoenix will be a sight to see.
Our little but mighty crew has been busy setting up for our upcoming Grand Opening, which will be on Saturday, August 21st at 5 PM, featuring SBA Lender Superstar, Sue Malone, coming in from San Francisco to support Club E. We're also very fortunate to have small business supporter and Congressional candidate, LeAnn Hull and Maricopa County Attorney candidate, Bill Montgomery, addressing our group, a mere three days before the Primaries.
So far, after only a week or so of moving into the space, our CEO has secured leaseholds from the following businesses:
1) Law firm that specializes in business
2) Start up Hip Hop record label
3) Architectural design firm
4) Small business health insurance company
5) Specialty photography business
6) High profile PR firm
7) Caterer
8) Hypnotherapist
9) Workshop coordinator
10) Business plan writer and strategist
11) Water purification manufacturing company
12) Auto broker
13) Hired gun CFO
14) CPA and wealth manager
15) Advertising agency and creative director
This is a tremendous start for our new facility. I am continuing my tradition of holding one-on-one sessions and then inviting select "alumni" at 4 PM each Friday to meet each other. Our "Fridays at 5" Social Hour will continue at our CEO and there will be a wide range of seminars, workshops and events at 300 W. Osborn in downtown Phoenix.
This model is already working and I predict great success in both this location and future spots that I'm already scoping out.
