Three Wonderful Women

I met with three wonderful women this week.

First, Sherry McGlade who certainly reverses my perception of accountants, especially CPAs. Sherry is an enthusiastic and vibrant young woman who specializes in preparing compilations and financial reporting for businesses in search of financing. She can be particularly helpful to Sonia and Jim Graham's "cottage project" of writing business plans that require complete and well executed financial projections and planning. Sherry's fees are modest and affordable and I look forward to working with her.

Next was Pam Castano who is an artist of fantastic talent. Specializing in large metal sculptures that sit proudly in many high profile government and big business lobbies, Pam lost her "marketing arm," when her marriage ended and her husband departed. She has dabbled in several other artistic endeavors like beautiful and affordable jewelry designs but needs to sit down and brand herself and produce a plan to move ahead. Vikki Green, our CEO resident branding expert was available to meet briefly with Pam and they are going to connect next week to get the ball rolling. Just another example of the power of having so many great entrepreneurs gather regularly in one location, such as Club E Office.

Finally, after about a year, my beautiful and talented friend, Christina Grubb came to call. We had met through a mutual friend, Katherine Langner several years before and spent several hours together discussing a project that Christina was passionate about. You see, Christina had given up her baby daughter at birth to adoptive parents when she was only a young girl of 17. Years later, after 5 children and two marriages...Christina decided to search for her baby girl. Christina was successful in meeting and embracing her now 37 year old daughter into her life and, with my encouragement, has proceeded to write a beautiful book about this story of love. Christina is about to become a published author and there's more than this one book inside her. At Club E we are going to help her with PR for her new book, encourage her to self-publish and help her raise the capital she needs to bring her dream to reality. This journey is a perfect example of "creating a cottage industry out of a moving experience." I am proud to be able to help my friend.

Best to all,
