Marni Patterson, a very bright tech consultant who specialized in joint ventures and international expansion was the next person to meet with me (Missed my previous blogs? Click here to catch up my friends.) Right off the bat, I knew that Marni must meet my dear friend, Dolf De Roos, who has a PhD in Engineering and is well-versed in international expansion for American companies. Marni will also benefit from the consultant financing package I came up with two sessions before.
My next meeting was with Jude Williams. A lovely woman who came into our meeting with an idea of expanding her HR consulting business and left with an entirely new opportunity. During our hour long conversation, I learned that her husband trained SEARS technicians all across the country, who would repair SEARS appliances when needed by consumers. I learned that her husband was going to retire in a couple of years and suggested that he create the "Video Handyman," taking the top 10 appliances and 100 basic repairs and create a series of video repair lessons for the home repairman and an 800# for the tough problems that he could answer directly. The series would be affordable and scalable...with unlimited upside. I'm waiting to hear how I can help Jude and her husband launch this new company, should they decide to proceed.
